Vocabulary

Hello again,
This is my vocabulary for this week. We do a Chapter Chat Activity each week. We got to pick out of vocabulary or reaserch.

Quick Write

                                                              Quick Write
Particles of dust drifted. One by one down a brown boot. The soft brown dust slid its way down onto the ground. Starting to form a pile the size of a teaspoon. Stepping a foot away from the boot more dust appeared. Peeping my head over the brown boot I could see that a mouse or 2 had been chewing on my boot. The seems of the boot were gone. Bending my arm down to go and see more of what's inside. Something small. Something like a MOUSE. The mouse was still in the boot. Chewing on the seams.

Bake Sale

On the 6th of July we are doing a bake sale to
fundraiser for a half pipe for our school. If you don't
know what a half pipe is, it is two ramps connected together (shaped like the letter 'U') for skating.
There are going to be food for sale for 50c $1 $2 $3.

How To Catch A Wave

In reading we have been reading a report on How To Catch A Wave. One of our reading activities was to  create a digital learning object (DLO). 

Quick Write - My messy room!

Today I've finished  a quick write activity on Storybird.com about my messy room. Our teacher picks the topic. One day of the week is a Storybird.  We have to do a quick write every day. But sometimes we go to the beach and write about what we have experienced at the beach.

Quick Write

A quick write is when our teacher give us 20 to 30 minutes to write. Our teacher gives us the sentence starter. A quick write is a fast short writing time. Here is my quick write I did today.

Tuesday 22 May 2018
As I slid down the muddy bank, a sharp pain shot up my leg.
Looked down and there it was a sharp stick stuck right up my leg. "OH GOSH PLEASE NO"
I screamed in agony. As I sat up, stumble fall face first. Ouch not my good leg. I had to make it to the other side before dark. Barley standing i stumble the whole way. I see mum in the distance waiting, waving. I barely held mum i'm over here. Blacked out. TO BE CONTINUED.

Timetable!

Lately we have been using something called a digital timetable. It helps me to know where I need to be and what time I need to be there. So every week we have to click onto our moana learning hub. The moana learning hub is our class website. In our emails is a link to learning where we have to pick what learning we want to do like reading, maths, writing and lots more. I know what workshop to go to because I know my learning I know

The workshops go for half an hour. We do the work shops with Matua Fergus and Koka Ngaire. The workshops go from Monday to Thursday. I bet you're wondering about Friday. Friday is our home room it's like our finishing day and Art. I like that we get to pick what we want to do instead the teacher a telling us what to do.
