Cafe Day

Hello Again,

Our Cafe Day that we were planning for months we are finally ready. Our Cafe Day is this Thursday the 2nd of November 2018. It is in our big hall. We are having some of our ukulele players playing some songs. We put together a skateboarding video. And we have an amazing person in our class that can play the cello. And the jump jam people are doing a dance for the elderly that are coming ect. We are putting together some baking that they can help themselves to. And have coffee, tea and other cold drinks. I will try and get some photos of the Cafe Day.

UPDATE ON THE GARDEN!

Hello again,

We have made some progress on the garden. We have planted some strawberries. Because we went around and asked classes what fruit they would most like to see in the garden out of all the fruit they would most like to see is strawberries. And we planted some sunflower seeds at the back.

PJ Day

Hi again. We had a PJ day on Thursday last week, because we fundraising for some seeds and some different stuff for the school garden. The reason we are doing a PJ day is because our buzz group is doing the garden. If you don't know what a buzz group is, it is a group
of 5 people that the teachers picked. Our focus for this term is action speak louder than words. We chose to look after the garden.


This is a before picture of the garden. Then later on I will post a photo of the garden next term when its starting to grow.       

      

Colour Day

On Tuesday everyone in the whole entire school dressed up in their colour. Because on Friday the teachers got to pick out a colour on the stage at assembly. Our teacher picked out BLUE! I was so happy when he read out blue. Everyone in our class was so happy. We dressed up so we could donate a gold coin to build a playground for Plant Sunshine.

Vocabulary

Hello again,
This is my vocabulary for this week. We do a Chapter Chat Activity each week. We got to pick out of vocabulary or reaserch.

Particles of dust drifted. One by one down a brown boot. The soft brown dust slid its way down onto the ground. Starting to form a pile the size of a teaspoon. Stepping a foot away from the boot more dust appeared. Peeping my head over the brown boot I could see that a mouse or 2 had been chewing on my boot. The seems of the boot were gone. Bending my arm down to go and see more of what's inside. Something small. Something like a MOUSE. The mouse was still in the boot. Chewing on the seams.

Bake Sale

On the 6th of July we are doing a bake sale to
fundraiser for a half pipe for our school. If you don't
know what a half pipe is, it is two ramps connected together (shaped like the letter 'U') for skating.
There are going to be food for sale for 50c $1 $2 $3.
